About the Role

As a Junior Data Warehouse PowerBI Developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of waterway management, supporting the expansion of a modern Azure data lakehouse platform, and delivering actionable insights that drive real-world impact. What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, building, and optimizing PowerBI reports based on data from an Azure data lakehouse platform, following a medallion architecture.
• Collaborating closely with information management and reporting experts to solve complex PowerBI challenges.
• Working alongside data architects to develop and refine the data architecture on Azure.
• Supporting regular information management operations and providing project-based coordination for ongoing initiatives.
• Contributing to the development of new use cases for data platforms and reporting, with a focus on performance management.
• Engaging in business analysis to translate organizational needs into actionable data solutions.
• Participating in Agile development processes to deliver high-impact, iterative improvements.
• Being available 3 days per week, with 1 day on-site (Tuesday) in Hasselt, Belgium.

What We’re Looking For

• Demonstrable experience as a PowerBI expert (junior level).
• Hands-on experience with data warehouse modelling and project-oriented work.
• Proven knowledge and experience in planning, designing, and building data warehouse applications using tools such as Cognos or Datastage.
• Strong understanding of Azure data platform techniques and Azure data lakehouse environments.
• Familiarity with setting up pipelines and working with cloud systems (Azure) and spatial databases (SQL Server).
• Solid business analysis skills and experience shaping performance management use cases.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, processes, and architectures, including ETL, BI, databases, and metadata.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Understanding of medallion structure in data architecture.
• Ownership mindset, problem-solving drive, and a passion for building impactful solutions.
