We are looking to hire Construction Project Managers with an international mindset, fluent in English and who are willing to relocate to Belgium for a longer period of time. (>3 years or longer)

Your role

As a Construction Project Manager at Verstraete.team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects while adhering to financial and technical expectations. This position requires a strong background in construction, expertise in BIM and 4D-planning software, and a track record of delivering projects within budget and on time. You will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to financial and technical standards.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including architects, engineers and subcontractors, to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.

• Utilize BIM and 4D-planning software to create comprehensive project models, enabling efficient planning and visualization of construction activities.

• Monitor and control project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones are achieved.

• Conduct regular site visits to inspect construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

• Coordinate procurement activities, including material sourcing, vendor selection, and negotiation of contracts to optimize project costs and timelines.

• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records throughout the project lifecycle.

• Provide effective leadership to project teams, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment.

• Communicate project updates and progress reports to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective and timely communication at all stages of the project.

• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to construction project management, BIM, and 4D-planning software.

Our ideal candidate is/has …

• A Masters degree or technical bachelors degree in construction

• Proven trackrecord, with at least 5 years of experience as a construction site leader, with technical as well as financial responsibilities.

• Very proficient in English as this will be the language to communicate with your colleagues, customers, and subcontractors.

• Proficient in using BIM software such as REVIT and 4D-planning software

• Excellent communication skills at all levels

• Willing to integrate in a new culture and why not… learn a new language (Dutch)

• Willing to relocate to Belgium, in the region “West-Flanders”. If necessary , we can help you set up with a (temporary) location.
