We are currently looking to hire a System Engineer to support our railway clients in Benelux. This role gives you the unique opportunity to work in an international environment and gain direct exposure to some of the world’s most influential brands.

What You'll Do

• Analyze, clarify and confirm input requirements and stakeholder needs
• Design system architecture, functions, and interfaces through modelling, design studies, and real-time analysis
• Write and maintain formal system specifications with full requirements traceability
• Collaborate with RAM, safety, cybersecurity, software, and V&V teams throughout the development lifecycle
• Lead and participate in technical and design reviews
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle
• Contribute to continuous improvement and standardization initiatives
• Support external stakeholders including customers, users, and tender teams

What We're Looking For

• Engineering degree (BAC +4 or +5) in Electronics, Telecom, Automation, Electricity, Robotics, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in system engineering, preferably in safety-critical environments such as railways, automotive, or aeronautics
• Proven experience in modelling methods such as UML, SADT, or SysML (MBSE)
• Hands-on experience in specification writing and requirements traceability (DOORS or Polarion)
• Knowledge of railway signalling systems and European standards is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with V-cycle, Waterfall, or Agile development methodologies
• Basic programming skills (C/C++)
• Strong written communication in English
• Fluent in English; Fluency in also French is preferable.

• You must be based in Europe and willing to relocate to Belgium
