Senior Test Automation Engineer (Python, Linux, CI/CD) - #50935

As a Senior Software Test Engineer at Barco Kortrijk, you will contribute to the Nexxis platform, the digital backbone of the modern operating room. Your work will focus on ensuring high levels of quality, reliability, and performance in a complex, life‑critical environment.

You will work in a hybrid setup (2 days per week from home) within a strong engineering culture, using modern tooling and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary R&D teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop automated system tests in Python for complex distributed systems
• Validate system integration across hardware, software, networking, and imaging components
• Troubleshoot test results, perform root‑cause analysis, and collaborate with R&D teams to resolve issues
• Contribute to compliant, high-quality documentation within a medical device environment
• Drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and overall test strategy
• Support quality ownership from concept to release within the testing lifecycle
  
  
  

Your Profile

• Strong proficiency in Python and Git
• Experience with test automation
• System-level thinking and ability to understand complex environments
• Basic networking knowledge
• Interest in complex systems and quality-driven engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

• Experience with video and audio technologies
• Experience in medical or other regulated environments
• Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Groovy)
