We are looking for a professional, welcoming, and service-oriented Receptionist to join our hotel team.

As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a positive experience from arrival to departure. We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, adaptable, and passionate about hospitality.

We are a small, family-owned hotel with a close-knit and loyal team that has been working together for over 10 years. Teamwork, communication, flexibility, and mutual support are at the core of our success, and we are looking for someone who shares these values.

The reception is the heart of our hotel, making this role much more than a traditional front desk position. In our small structure, every team member is polyvalent and contributes to the overall success of the hotel. No two days are the same, and the ideal candidate will enjoy taking initiative, solving problems, and working closely with all departments.

We pride ourselves on delivering personalized service, paying attention to detail, and creating genuine connections with our guests and colleagues alike.

Key Responsibilities

– Welcome guests warmly and professionally, ensuring an exceptional first impression.

– Manage check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and guest accounts accurately and efficiently.

– Handle reservations, modifications, cancellations, and special requests.

– Respond to telephone calls, emails, and online inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

– Provide guests with information regarding hotel services, facilities, local attractions, restaurants, and transportation.

– Anticipate guest needs and ensure a personalized guest experience throughout their stay.

– Handle guest concerns, complaints, and requests professionally and efficiently.

– Coordinate closely with housekeeping, maintenance, restaurant, and management teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

– Assist with administrative duties, reporting, and general office tasks.

– Monitor room availability and maintain accurate guest records.

– Support rate management, inventory control, and revenue optimization strategies.

– Assist with yield management activities and help maximize occupancy and revenue opportunities.

– Process payments, invoices, and daily cash handling procedures.

– Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.

– Follow hotel policies, procedures, and operational standards to maintain consistency and service excellence.

– Provide operational support to other departments when required and contribute to the overall success of the hotel.

Requirements

Compétences requises:

  • Previous experience in a hotel reception, front office, hospitality, or customer service role.
  • Experience in an independent hotel or small hospitality structure is highly valued.
  • Knowledge or experience in yield management, revenue management, pricing strategies, and room inventory optimization is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Experience with hotel PMS systems is required.
  • Experience with OTA extranets (Booking.com, Expedia, etc.) and channel managers is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent in French and English; knowledge of Dutch is highly preferred. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Must be based in Brussels or the surrounding area.
  • Own transportation (car, motorcycle, or scooter) is highly preferred.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts when required.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining a strong team player.
