Atlas Copco Group
Datum: 3 dagen geleden
Stad: Antwerpen, Vlaanderen
Contracttype: Voltijd
Your role
Are you passionate about new innovations and eager to develop future sustainable compressor products from concept to production? Within our engineering department, we are looking for a motivated designer with a proactive attitude, a strong focus on mechanical engineering, and the drive to understand and improve our compressors. Join our mission to develop and continuously enhance the advanced oil-free screw (OFS) compressor elements. These elements are the heart of our best-in-class compressors, converting mechanical energy into compressed air.
In this role, you will work closely with the project team to develop products from the first prototype to serial production. Our technology engineers can simulate and predict machine behavior, but your job is to bring the designs to life. With your 3D expertise, innovative approach, and precision, you will create 3D models and drawings that are both manufacturable and cost-effective. As the owner of the design, you will have the ability to coach or delegate tasks to other designers. You will discuss your ideas with sourcing and suppliers, always keeping manufacturability in mind. When prototypes are made or parts are machined internally, you will be actively involved—collecting feedback and guiding colleagues. You won’t shy away from getting your hands “dirty” during prototype assembly, ensuring you get the best feedback to further improve your designs.
You will be part of the oil-free screw product development team, consisting of project leaders, designers, and technology and project engineers, all dedicated to developing state-of-the-art compressor elements.
You will work in a large, sustainability-focused company with plenty of personal and technical development opportunities, giving you the chance to contribute to more efficient and sustainable products in a high-impact industry.
