AI Tooling Engineer - #48516
team.blue Global
Company
team.blue is an ecosystem of 60+ successful PaaS and SaaS brands working together across 22 European countries to provide its 3.5 million SMB customers with everything they need to succeed online by offering best-in-class expertise and services.
team.blue's brands are a mix of traditional hosting businesses that offer services from domain names, email, shared hosting, e-commerce, and server hosting solutions and, as specialist SaaS providers, adjacent products such as compliance, marketing tools, and team collaboration products. This broad product offering makes it a one-stop partner for online businesses and entrepreneurs across Europe.
team.blue hub
team.blue hub is a new internal startup within the team.blue group, created to deliver a unified, intelligent experience across all team.blue brands. Six months ago, we started building this small, top‑tier team with complete autonomy, using AI as leverage across every workflow to ship fast, think clearly, and achieve measurable results. Now, after six months in the market with the first squad, we are growing from 1 to 3 squads to deliver a complete Hub experience.
Position
Own the team’s AI productivity layer: the internal tooling, agentic workflows, accelerators, and documentation that let a small, AI-first team move with outsized leverage. A central technical role: maintain the dev/AI stack, coordinate agent development across squads, and keep documentation optimized for both human and machine consumption.
Responsibilities
-
Maintain and evolve internal AI tooling: Claude Code, Cursor, custom MCPs, hooks, slash commands, and skill repos
-
Build Hub-internal accelerators: codegen skills, scaffolding tools, and a shared recipes repository
-
Coordinate and drive agent development across the squads (cross-team, technical lead role without people management)
-
Maintain documentation optimized for AI consumption: internal team docs and the external agent-readiness surface
-
Provide light cross-squad harmonization on agent-related architectural decisions
Requirements
-
At least 5 years of experience in software development, including platform or internal-tools roles
-
Strong AI and MCP exposure, has built or maintained agent-augmented workflows in production
-
Devtools instinct, has built internal tooling at scale before
-
Comfortable coordinating across multiple squads without people-management authority
-
Strong written documentation skills
-
Open-source or applied-AI ecosystem contributions are a plus
-
Skilled in AI-assisted coding and Claude Code workflows, comfortable relying on them to move faster and better
-
Reliable, autonomous, and detail-oriented
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
-
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Culture & Principles
-
AI-first, high-ownership culture. We are a flat organisation of senior individual contributors who use AI daily to accelerate their work. There are no traditional managers — people are trusted to manage themselves, take ownership, and drive outcomes.
-
Remote-first, async by default. Decisions, plans, trade-offs, roadmap, and company performance are documented and accessible. Clear written communication is essential, and cross-team decisions are resolved through documentation and ADRs rather than escalation chains.
-
Startup speed with enterprise impact. Small teams, large responsibility, same-week decision cycles, and a focus on simplicity, reliability, and measurable business outcomes.
Right to Work
At any stage, please be prepared to provide proof of eligibility to work in the country you’re applying for. Unfortunately, we are unable to support relocation packages or sponsorship visas.
