Are you a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment? Do you enjoy coaching and developing teams while continuously improving processes? Then look no further because we are looking for a Team Leader in Mechelen.

As a Team Leader you are responsible for the efficient daily operation, with a particular emphasis on managing warehouse employees and implementing action plans for the warehouse.

• As team leader you will be leading a team of up to 30
• 2 shift pattern 6.00 - 14.00 and 14.00 – 22.00 rotating week shifts – Monday to Friday.
• Fluent in English, Dutch would be advantageous.
• Previous experience within a warehouse or similar environment.
• Will report to the Shift Supervisor.
  

What You Do on a Typical Day

• Ensure operational KPIs are met, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
• Assign tasks and monitor completion to maintain quality and productivity.
• Maintain a safe working environment and foster a positive team dynamic.
• Lead daily start-up activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Handle personnel planning, ensuring optimal staffing levels.
• Conduct training and coaching to develop employees’ skills.
• Provide input on hiring and performance reviews.
• Maintain clear documentation of processes and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Engage in daily communication with the operational team.

What do you need to succeed at GXO?

• Multicultural Awareness - Ability to communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds.
• A demonstrable track record of operations experience in a similar position.
• Fluent in English and Dutch is advantageous.
• LEAN Warehousing knowledge and experience.
• Customer focused with the ability to motivate a team.
• Leadership qualities and experience within a warehouse environment.
• Ability to remain calm and composed when the going gets tough.
• Resilience, goal orientated and a positive approach.
