Overview

This private equity firm is seeking a highly motivated intern with a strong analytical mindset and demonstrated interest in private equity, finance, and value creation. The role offers hands-on experience in European private equity, working directly with the investment team on deal sourcing, investment evaluation, and supporting portfolio companies in their growth initiatives.

The firm is a European growth-oriented investment platform founded in 2022, managing approximately €600 million in assets under management. The team focuses on software, tech-enabled service businesses, and healthcare, typically investing €10-50 million per investment across a concentrated portfolio of 9 platforms with over 30 deals completed.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively source potential investment opportunities through desktop research
• Evaluate inbound deal flow and support investment decision-making processes
• Conduct due diligence support, reference calls, and market research
• Prepare materials for internal presentations and fund presentations
• Support portfolio company management teams on strategic initiatives
• Perform financial analysis and LBO modeling in Excel
• Create presentations in PowerPoint and draft investment memos
• Collaborate with seasoned investment professionals and management teams
  
  

Skills & Experience

• First-class degree in business, economics, science, or engineering
• Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative-driven and curious approach
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Strong financial literacy with solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluent English required; French, Italian, Dutch, or German language skills advantageous
• Prior 6-month internship experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, or private equity

Application Process

This is a 6-month minimum internship position based in Antwerp, with competitive compensation provided. The firm recruits on a rolling basis throughout the year. Occasional travel may be required as part of the role.
