Senior Business Intelligence & analytics specialist
A leading organization undergoing a major data transformation is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence & Analytics Specialist to strengthen its enterprise reporting and analytics capabilities. The role combines technical expertise, data governance responsibilities, and close collaboration with operational and business stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Main responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable reporting solutions, analytical dashboards, and semantic data models that support strategic and operational performance monitoring.
Contribute to the evolution of the organization's analytics ecosystem by improving reporting standards, optimizing data structures, and enhancing overall BI delivery practices.
Ensure high standards of data integrity, consistency, accessibility, and governance through collaboration with cross-functional teams responsible for data ownership, quality control, and compliance.
Provide senior-level expertise on complex analytics and reporting initiatives, including troubleshooting data issues, defining best practices, documenting technical solutions, and managing secure data access models.
Enable and support self-service analytics capabilities by delivering reusable datasets, improving documentation, and guiding business teams in adopting autonomous reporting practices.
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in Data & Analytics to continuously improve tools, methodologies, and platform capabilities.
Work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable analytical solutions.
Required experience & competencies
Degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Extensive professional experience in Business Intelligence, Data Management, or Analytics environments, including significant exposure to enterprise BI architecture and governance practices.
Strong hands-on expertise with modern BI and reporting platforms.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational data modeling.
Good understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and master/reference data concepts.
Solid knowledge of enterprise data ecosystems, including ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing principles, and analytical data structures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to handle complex data environments.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a broad range of stakeholders.
Experience in regulated or data-sensitive industries is considered beneficial.
