I-Coats NV is an internationally active SME, founded in 2006 and based in Berchem (Antwerp), Belgium. With a team of approximately 10 employees, the company develops and commercializes innovative overlay finishes and coatings for ropes, nets and steel cables. Through production partners, its products are supplied worldwide to customers across Europe, the United States, Canada, China and Korea. With an annual turnover of €6 million and 90% export activity, I-Coats is a dynamic and internationally oriented company with strong growth ambitions.

eIn this role, you will take a leading position in the development of coatings for customer-specific applications, operating at the intersection of R&D and practical implementation. You will act both as a technical expert and as a project lead, playing a key role in translating customer needs into high-performance and innovative coating solutions

.As Project Manager, you will be end-to-end responsible for the development and implementation of tailor-made coatings for industrial applications

.Your responsibilitie

• sDevelop advanced coatings in co-creation with customers, tailored to their specific applications and requirements
• .Analyze technical challenges and translate them into concrete development and testing trajectories
• .Work closely with the laboratory team in setting up, executing and interpreting tests. You will evaluate coating performance and make adjustments based on test results and customer feedback
• .Identify new applications and innovation opportunities with both existing and prospective customers
• .Ensure a smooth transition from laboratory results to effective production and closely monitor the implementation process
• .Safeguard technical know-how and actively contribute to the further development of expertise within I-Coats’ product niche
• .Report directly to the Technical Director

Your profi

• leYou hold a higher technical degree in a relevant field (preferably a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or similar
• ).You have several years of experience in an R&D, application engineering or project-driven environment within a multidisciplinary contex
• t.You have a strong affinity with coatings and chemical formulation
• s.You combine technical knowledge with a pragmatic mindset and a strong focus on applicabilit
• y.You work in a structured manner and are capable of independently managing complex project
• s.You communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholder
• s.You speak Dutch fluentl
• y.You have a good command of English and solid knowledge of MS Office applications such as Excel and Wor
