To strengthen our Belgian Finance team, we are looking for an analytical and proactive Assistant Accountant who enjoys working accurately, improving processes, and taking ownership.

What You’ll Do

• Process and verify purchase invoices and expense reports with strong analytical accuracy.
• Prepare supplier payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Support the preparation of VAT and intra-community (IC) declarations.
• Assist in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support audit preparation and related accounting processes.
• Ensure financial data is processed correctly, timely, and consistently.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and internal processes.
• Take initiative in exploring and testing new systems and tools.
  
  

Who You Are

• You have a first experience in accounting or finance administration.
• You have strong communication skills in both Dutch/French and English.
• You have a good understanding of accounting principles.
• You combine analytical thinking with a hands-on mentality.
• You work accurately and have an eye for detail.
• You are proactive and not afraid to take initiative.
• You think critically and logically, and you challenge things constructively when needed.
• You are eager to learn and enjoy discovering new tools and systems independently.
• You are well organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
• You are a team player with strong communication skills.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus.
