Our client, a major public sector organization, is undergoing a large-scale digital transformation to modernize a legacy monolithic application into a microservices-based architecture. This project adopts an API-first and event-driven approach to enhance agility and accelerate the delivery of value to end-users.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications for a microservices-based environment.
  • Design and maintain business process models and system interactions using BPMN and UML sequence diagrams.
  • Define and govern data models to ensure consistency across synchronous and asynchronous interface contracts.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to guide development and testing teams.
  • Provide strategic leadership by coaching team members and challenging proposed solutions to optimize quality and delivery.
  • Lead effort estimation activities to provide accurate time and cost projections for development cycles.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in functional and technical analysis within complex Agile or Scrum environments.
  • 8+ years of expertise in business process modeling and system interaction design using BPMN and UML.
  • 8+ years of experience in data modeling and Data Governance, including proficiency in querying and analyzing data with SQL.
  • Advanced experience in designing interactions for microservices architectures, focusing on both synchronous and asynchronous interface contracts.
  • Expertise in utilizing development and collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence, Git, Postman, and SoapUI.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic vision, challenge architectural decisions, and apply pragmatism to project deliverables.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor other analysts.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented.
  • You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of browser developer tools for troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Dutch or French.
