Fleet Personnel Officer (Antwerp, Belgium) - #45435

The EXMAR Group is currently looking for a Fleet Personnel Officer to reinforce the Exmar Shipmanagement Infrastructure team in Antwerp.

Your role in the team

The Fleet Personnel Officer takes care of the crew planning and makes sure that assets and vessels are equipped with skilled and certified seafarers.

The Fleet Personnel Officer reports to the Head of Fleet Management.

Your Responsibilities And Tasks Include

• Provide daily assistance to our vessels, ensuring smooth crewing operations and solutions for any challenges;
• Arrange and manage timely crew changes, including travel, visas and logistics;
• Ensure each crew member is fully compliant and certified before joining the vessel;
• Support induction, briefings and practical onboarding for new or promoted crew;
• Maintain accurate crew records and contract details in our database;
• Handle crew contracts, expenses and handle operational invoices;
• Coordinate crew planning for designated ranks and vessels;
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and support internal/external audits;
• Assist with crew evaluations, training and provide support during emergencies.
  
  

Your profile

• Holds a bachelor’s degree;
• Relevant experience in a similar role is not required, but considered a plus;
• Basic knowledge of STCW and other international rules and regulations related to crewing services is preferred;
• Strong administrative skills;
• Able to keep an overview, troubleshoot and work solution-driven in a dynamic, ever-changing environment;
• Takes ownership, makes decisions and acts proactively;
• Collaborates effectively with onboard crew to resolve crewing-related issues;
• Communicates politely and empathetically with seafarers and their families;
• Excellent written and spoken English skills; French / Spanish are a plus.
